Mark Twain was once quoted as having said “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”

Mr. Twain’s vision is exemplified by the men and women of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary District Eleven Southern Region. Among America’s finest volunteers, their dedicated service to the US Coast Guard and the American public are worthy of everyone’s attention. From preventing accidents on the water through outreach and education to lending assistance to those who are in distress at sea, these men and women truly embody the Coast Guard’s credo of Honor, Respect, and Devotion to Duty.

Our mission, as members of the District Eleven SR bridge and staff, is to provide these men and women with the leadership, resources and support they need so they may successful complete the numerous and diverse missions before them. We are committed helping them help the American public. The District Staff Officers and their Staff Chief’s eagerly look forward to provide quality programs of support.

With dock lines aboard and the wind in their sails, the men and women of the Elegant Eleventh are here and ready to serve.
