The inland Auxiliary divisions within Sector San Diego’s AOR have a tremendous responsibility. In this area,
the Auxiliary is the only part of Coast Guard Forces that maintains a constant presence on our waterways.
The men and women of Divisions 9 and 10 are actively promoting recreational boating safety by conducting vessel
safety checks, instructing boaters on how to conduct themselves in a safe manner, checking to make sure private
aids to navigation are in place and up to standards, and constantly honing their skills so that when called upon,
they are truly semper paratus. I am proud to serve with such a dedicated group of volunteers.
